BUILD PROSTHETIC HANDS

Giving someone the opportunity to regain their independence is one of the most meaningful outcomes of charity team building.

The goal of this challenge is to build fully functional prosthetic hands that will be donated to people living in developing countries who have lost a limb and have little access to prosthetic care.

Each team receives a prosthetic hand kit with the tools and instructions needed to complete the build. Before assembly begins, participants take part in a series of engaging challenges designed to encourage teamwork and communication. Some activities incorporate sensory restrictions such as limited sight or dexterity, helping teams gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by those living with limb loss.

Following the challenges, teams begin constructing their prosthetic hands. Working together, participants carefully assemble, calibrate and test each device, with support from our experienced facilitators throughout the process.

Once completed, every prosthetic hand undergoes a quality inspection to ensure it meets the required standards. Teams then have the opportunity to include a personal message for the individual who will receive it.

The event concludes with a presentation of the completed prosthetic hands and a reminder of the real impact they will have. Through our charity partners, the hands are donated to recipients who can use them to regain confidence, return to work or education, and carry out everyday tasks that many of us take for granted.
