CHARITY BIKE BUILD
Creating something that makes a positive difference in the lives of others is one of the most rewarding aspects of charity team building.
The goal of this challenge is to build bicycles for young children.
Each team starts with a basic frame. Each bike requires different components, so the challenge is to earn them all. In order to earn the components, they must complete a range of tasks, some of which are fun and some of which are skill-based. An example would be fixing a punctured inner tube in the quickest time, completing the fastest mile on a cycle simulator, or completing the theory-based cycling rules of the road test.
As teams complete tasks, they receive fun money, which can be used to purchase all the different materials and components needed in the equipment zones.
Bike mechanics and support instructors are on hand to help teams along the way. Teams all get a full toolkit with everything needed for the build. The event concludes with a presentation of all the bikes.
